Last week, the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School hosted an inspiring workshop titled "Designing an Entrepreneurial University".

After completing the recent Data-Driven Entrepreneurship workshop, one of the participating VU students reflected on the experience:

We are happy to announce the successful Advanced Ecosystem Workshop held at the VU Amsterdam from 15-17 November. The three-day event featured a presentation on the Amsterdam Ecosystem by Professor Enno Masurel (VU Amsterdam), a workshop on generative AI for entrepreneurship led by Professor Dominic Chalmers (University of Glasgow), coaching on delivering a convincing pitch by David Voros (Corvinus University Budapest), start-up pitches by students, among many other activities.

Participants saw how different cities support entrepreneurs and learned new tools and techniques for accelerating their own start-ups from leading European entrepreneurs.

There was a particular focus on leadership. It also included a visit to the Internet of Things tech accelerator at the Smart Things Accelerator Centre in Glasgow.

Using the ABC Learning Design Toolkit developed by University College London, this module introduces the concept of ‘learning types’ – acquisition, collaboration, investigation, discussion, practice and production – to underpin the design of an effective learning experience. Each of these learning types corresponds with a range of online tools that can be integrated to the proposed module to create a dynamic and high-quality student experience.

The Accelerate project confirms moving forward with a new cycle of both online and offline learning opportunities.

On 10-12th of November, 24 top students engaged in early-stage business development participated at a data driven business development workshop and competition at Corvinus University of Budapest.

The Corvinus University of Budapest (BCE) hosted an idea contest between 3rd and 4th of September. The main sponsor of Startup Buda-Pest hackathon was the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while Danube Cup was responsible for the professional aspects of the event, and the Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Association/Kandó Klub was in charge of project management.
